The cottage is at one end of this small and very
peaceful village and is surrounded by fields and woodland. Les Chezelles ia a great place to get away from the
stress of modern life and unwind.
The cottage has had 5 years of careful restoration to make it a very warm, comfortable and inviting place to stay with enough modern amenities to make life very agreeable but it remains very much a part of France. It is a family home and has many family touches including a good supply of books and a kitchen with plenty of cooking utensils. As a family home we do rely on all our visitors to care for our house and to leave it spotlessly clean and tidy for the next visitors.
Les Chezelles is the name of the village
and our house is number 18 (although it is almost the first you encounter when entering the village). Our formal address is.

The area is rich in birdlife but it is also close to a
lake with a beach, cafe and swimming in the summer. There is excellent fishing in the nearby river and the area is easily explored on bikes.
The nearest shops are in Bonnat about 4 miles away but there are vans throughout the week selling bread, meat and fish - and it is an easy walk into the village of Bourg D'hem
where there is a cafe and bar.
